Printing Instructions

How will I receive my digital product?

Once you check out and make payment, we will automatically send you an email with a download link (may take a few minutes). It will also be available in your order confirmation after you check out.

What is included in my digital download purchase?

• 8x10" on 8.5x11" PDF with bleed and crop lines for easy at-home printing
• 8x10" JPEG to send to print shop or photo lab
• 11x14" JPEG to send to print shop or photo lab
• A3 JPEG (297 x 420 mm / 11.7 x 16.5”) international standard size for outside North America (can convert easily to A4 and A5)

How do I print at home?

The recommended size to print at home is 8x10”. Download the PDF which has an 8x10” artwork placed on an 8.5x11” letter size paper. Print this at 100% size. We also recommend choosing high quality smooth cardstock. Set your printer settings at highest quality and select the correct kind of paper. The printout will include bleed and crop marks to help you trim it down to 8x10” size. Only the 8x10” PDF contains crop marks, the other files do not.

How do I send this file to a print shop or photo lab?

Download the JPEG size that you want. Upload the file to any print shop, or take it there on a flash drive. Make sure your photo lab does not auto correct colors. You can scale down and crop to a smaller print size. Most of our art prints are designed to allow a little room for cropping. You should not order a larger print size than what we have provided. If you try to get it enlarged, it will lose resolution and be a little blurry.

Can I get a different file size?

The easiest way to get a custom size is by downloading the A3 size, our largest file size (297 x 420mm or 11.7 x 16.5 in), then scale down and crop it to whatever size you need to. If you are printing from home, you should be able to find these options in your print settings. If you are sending the file to a print shop, then you should be able to select from various sizes after uploading the image. Any prints larger than A3 11.7 x 16.5” will start to lose resolution and look a little blurry. You may contact us to see if we have a larger size available, additional fees may apply.

Why is my print too dark or too light? Or why are the colors different?

All printers print differently than what monitors display. You should be able to adjust print settings in your print driver or printer’s LED screen. You usually can adjust ink density, print quality, print speed, etc. We will not offer color corrections on our end, because we cannot know exactly how it will print on your end.

Why is the foil not shiny?

Some of our digital downloads feature “faux foil” elements, meaning the foil is not real. Your printer, even the ones at most print shops and photo labs, cannot print real metallic. It will print a gradient of color tones to mimic the look of foil. This effect usually looks great from afar. Actual results will vary depending on the quality of paper and printer you use. We do offer real foil prints, please browse through our website.

What is your return policy for digital downloads?

We do not offer refunds on digital downloads once the files have been emailed to you. However, if you are not pleased with the quality of your printout, then you may purchase that same artwork as a real print from us and only pay the difference. We use professional quality paper, ink, and real foil. Please email us and we will send you an invoice.
